We are the lucky ones

We are the lucky one, as others are asked to
leave when they are so young, We are lucky to
still be around,

Put your head on me as I fall asleep, stay
here by my side ,remember that we are the
lucky ones,I will hold you till your eyes cannot
see anymore, I will hold you till is time for you to
go , some leave far too soon, guess we are the
lucky ones

Put your hand in to mines, we are the lucky
ones, others leave so young, we hold on to
each other as our life has lasted this long,
we are well blessed

Put your head on me as we start to fall asleep,
I will hold you till it’s time for you to move on,
put your hand in my hand , till it’s time , just
remember we were the lucky ones to have
the chance to live this long,along with all the
memories we have gathered so long

Promise no matter how the years treat you,
to remember you are as perfect as you were
