I love the stillness of the night

The tiptoe of angels hopping around

I know where everyone belongs

I love the night because of my beautiful friend

She stops by most nights, but not every night

The air is so crispy and fresh

The sky shines with love and laughter

I love the night because my friend knows all my secrets

She knows all my hopes and dreams and she always stops by my window

She knows when I need someone to hug me, she lets me talk

She listens to the words pouring from deep in my heart

I love the night because it gives me peace and makes me smile

And then its time to say goodbye to my friend, she has to move on

She twinkles and then slowly vanishes until the next night

I close my window and wave at her until she has gone
